A year to remember

New year's eve is today. 2011 has been special year for me. I landed my dream job in HR, organised fashion show in London, got opportunity to promote fmirror clothes and completed my Master's in Human Resources Management. The most special thing was meeting new people through my blog :) I love meeting new people and it has been definitely a year to remember. Thank you to everybody for all your love and support in 2011. I appreciate it. I hope you'll continue to shower me with your love and support in this coming year too. Happy new year and I hope you have a wonderful year ahead.

This photo was taken when we did fmirror photoshoot in 2011. Had amazing time working with two ladies; fmirror owner and the photographer.

Unfinished business of 2011

I came across some old pictures which has been unpublished in my blog. So, before I go to bed tonight and also before the end of 2011, I wanted to publish these pictures. The pictures aren't that great. However, I hope you'll enjoy it and will remind you of the warm summer we had this year. As there is only one day left for new year, I am now thinking about my new year resolutions. I think I am bit late but I am sure I will come up with loads of resolutions ;) Hope you all have already decided on your new year resolutions. Happy new year to you all in advance.

"Ekphrasis" is an avante-garde movement of a theatrical amalgamation of art, fashion and theater being held for the first time in Nepal on the 4th February, 2012 by Milan Rai who is an adept Nepalese artist and has been exhibiting sundries of art performances. He is very close friend of mine whom I met in high school and was, coincidentally, my neighbor too in Nepal. The event has been built around conceptual art which will be delivered on stage by proficient actors, beautiful models, sculpture work and pure poetry. It promises the smooth blend of poetic-serenity where the artist, the responding- artist and the audience creates a wave- like- movement of great sensitivity and feminism, enriching “art”, “couture” and “theater”.
A certain amount of the money raised through will go for donation to Autism Care, Nepal. I would love to go to "Ekphrasis" but unfortunately I can't as I am abroad. However, I thought this would be the best way to show my support and appreciation to his creative work. This is the least I could do for wonderful person like him. I would like to ask people residing in Nepal and those who would be in Nepal in February, 2012 to attend Ekphrasis and support him. Please don't miss this opportunity and by attending this event it will reflect your support towards the Nepalese art performances and the artist. Enjoy the "Ekphrasis" promotional pictures and you can see the amazing work of Milan Rai and the man himself.

Warm December

Sometimes I wonder "Is it really December?" I was looking forward for white Christmas after last year but this year the weather has been wonderful in Britain. I had never experienced warm December like this before in this country. Had nice Christmas with my family. I went to visit my friend and wore this outfit today as it was warm, together with traditional silver Nepalese hand bracelet known as "Kade Chura" . The designs of this bracelet is beautiful, hand made and goes with every outfit. These beautiful bracelet actually belongs to my mum from whom I keep borrowing often ;) To all those people who had asked me which camera I use to take picture, the last picture tells you that I use CANON EOS 450D. Hope that helps you. Lastly, ladies do invest in polka dots and lace cos it will be hugely popular next year summer. That's my forecast for S/S 2012. Have a good new year xx.

Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

I have been a good girl all year. I’m not going to lie to you, there was no one in the entire university that worked hard like me. I destroyed my brain studying the whole year and behaved well with my parents, my brothers, my friends, and with my neighbours. So, I think I deserve a present and I don’t have very long list this year. All I want in Christmas is Jeffery Campbell’s LITA shoes please. I don’t have chimney in my house but you can use my front door to come in or leave them in my recycle bin. I hope to see my present when I wake up on 25th December.

Thank you.

Living A Dream

Totally forgot to blog about this LOL. Living magazine back home in Nepal interviewed me for their August issue of  fashion feature. I used to read living magazine online and when they approached me for interview I was like is this really happening? Seriously, I was over the moon and it felt like a dream. Oh! yes, it did ;) I love their fashion feature especially the creative and artistic pictures they produce which sets them apart in the market. Would like to express big thank you to Living magazine :D. You can go to Living magazine  to read my interview. Enjoy :D

My Candy Bag

On the last day of Paris visit my other half bought me FURLA'S Candy Bag from their Autum/winter Collection 2011/12. What a way to end my holiday. I was impressed and so pleased with my other half :D I fell in love with this cute bag the moment I saw this bag in FURLA store. The bag itself is made of rubber. The colour is red  which is perfect for dull winter ;) I adore this bag as it is very easy and light to carry. It looks quite small but trust me you can fit so many things inside cos the bag is very spacious. It has got cute padlock with F engraved on the side. I also bought a cute key ring with mini candy bag but I gave that to my cousin. Together with key ring (35 euros) and the bag (176 euros) it cost 211 euros.  Best thing about this bag is that it comes in different colour (rainbow colours) and is suitable for every outfit. Gonna brighten up depressing winter with my bright FURLA Candy Bag. Yay!!

3 Days and 3 Outfits in Paris

Went to Paris for short holiday after my fashion show. It was my first time in Paris and I fell in love with this beautiful city. I only carried 3 outfits as I didn't wanted to carry heavy suitcase. Normally, I over pack my suitcase but this time I managed not to over pack. Yay!!

What I like about Paris it is so much more bigger than London full of places to visit from museum to beautiful architectural buildings which will inspire people. The other best thing is the Metro (underground tube) is much spacious and the roads were very big. I also found Paris safe as there we lots of police and army around especially in tourist area which made me feel safe. Now, the dislike bit ;) The thing I didn't like about Paris is that they hardly speak English, food and shopping was expensive. Overall, it met my expectations. Enjoy the pictures :D

Mission Accomplished The Show 2011

“Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your ultimate achievements” - Napoleon Hill

The Show 2011 was dream I had cherished from long time which became reality and blueprint of my success on August 20th, 2011. The event went better than I had ever expected :) We had very good turnout and the support from the audience was great.  I am proud of myself and all the people who was involved with this show. I want to express my deepest gratitude to every individual of the team including Signaturee (with whom I collaborated for this event) who have worked so hard along me to make this show a success. I have to praise their every little efforts, commitment and sacrifice. Lastly, I would like to thank the attendees for taking time out of your busy life and coming to support this event and making it successful. This event marks just the beginning of the various dreams I have that needs to be accomplished and it has motivated me to keep on dreaming. Enjoy the pictures and video :)
